Tokyo Marathon 2020 Live Stream, TV Coverage

The Tokyo marathon is one of the largest marathons in the world and now has the distinction of being included since 2013 as one of the 6 World Marathon Majors, along with Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago and New York. There are over 35,000 participants for the event, in a race that is generally oversubscribed by a ratio in excess on 10-1, making this one of the harder marathons to enter into.

The Tokyo marathon in it’s current form has been taking place only since 2007, but prior to that there were 2 previous marathon events in the city, the Tokyo-New York Friendship International Marathon and the Tokyon International Marathon, which had the odd feature of sharing the event on alternate years. As well as the marathon there is also a 10k race that takes place on the same day.
